Search for Galactic Hidden Gas
Farhang Habibi (Orsay Univ. & SUT)
Abstract:
Primordial cold molecular clouds may be the ultimate candidates for baryonic hidden matter in the Galaxy. We have proposed the scintillation effect of the background stars as a tool to detect such transparent clouds. An extensive simulation is done as well as some feasibility tests toward the known dark nebulae in near infrared band.
I will give a talk about the recent progress of this investigation.
