The evolution of galaxy asymmetry with redshift

Ali Koohpaee (K. N. Toosi Univ. of Tech. & IPM)
Abstract:
Recently, Wide Field Camera 3 on board Hubble Space Telescope provided deep images of a relatively large portion of Chandra Deep Field South in near infrared. The same field has been also imaged in optical with Advanced Camera for Surveys on HST. We have used these optical to near-infrared images to study the morphological evolution of galaxies out to z~3. We have made use of Asymmetry index to describe this evolution.
