abstract:

Molecular hydrogen clouds may be one of the ultimate candidates for the missing baryons of the galaxies. We introduce a new way to search for transparent turbulent clouds through their refractive effects on the background sources. Through my talk, I will give a summary about the missing baryon problem, then, I show you our simulation results for scintillation effect induced by turbulent media. Finally, I show you how our observation analysis can constrain the turbulence of dark nebulae of the Galactic disc and of  the  hypothesized transparent clouds of the Galactic halo.
