Evaporation of Extrasolar Planets

Abstract

After introducing the different methods and instrumentations for detecting
extrasolar planets, I will concentrate on transmission spectroscopy which
can provide information on the atmospheres of exoplanets. In some cases,
atmospheric evaporation has been identified and even the "meteorological"
influence of the parent star on the exoplanetary atmosphere.
