The International Workshop on Extrasolar Planets will be held on beautiful Kish Island, from January 29 till February 14, 2011. The island of Kish is a resort island located in the Persian Gulf. Due to its popularity and its accessibility through other Gulf countries,  it has been given the free trade zone status and has been developed as a major modern tourist destination (third biggest tourist destination in the middle east). The weather in January and February is pleasantly warm and the scenery is breathtaking.Being in the middle of the Persian Gulf, Kish is known for it quiet and calm environment.

Kish is  accessible from major airports through UAE, and unlike mainland Iran, can be entered without a visa from those countries. Please note that no visa is required if you are not planning to visit Iran mainland before or after the conference. However, a visa is required if you plan to visit Iran's Mainland.

Alternatively, you can fly to Tehran's new Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) and fly from there to Kish Island or any other destination in the mainland that you wish. Please note that if you choose to fly to Kish from Tehran, you will need a valid visa, obtained from one of Iranian Consulates in your homeland or other countries around the world.
